NADAB AND ABIHU
Nadab
and Abihu offered to God "strange fire" with their incense (Lev. 10:1-2).
Although the incense was good, the fire was "strange." It was not the fire from
the altar where the atonement was made. The fire they used was acceptable to their
concept, but it was "strange" to God. This "strange fire," applied in
their own way, not according to God's revelation, caused their death.

나답과 아비후
나답과
아비후는 향과 함께 「다른 불」을 하나님께 드렸다(레 10:1-2). 향은
좋은 것이었지만 불은 「다른 불」이었다. 그것은 속죄가
이루어지는 제단에서 나온 불이 아니었다. 그들이 사용한 불은
그들의 관념에서 용납할 만한 것이었지만 하나님께는 「다른」
것이었다. 그들 자신의 방식으로 사용한 이 「다른 불」은 하나님의
계시에 따른것이 아니므로 사망을 가져왔다.
